You have already stated the problem, and you might observe that there is no food in the fridge, but that you have $15. Based on these observations, you hypothesize that you will order pizza for dinner. Your experiment is calling the pizza delivery place to see if they will deliver you a pizza. If you get your pizza, you can conclude that the hypothesis was correct.
